This spice is handy for treating common medical conditions.

Bad breath:
Cumin seeds help to eliminate bad breath. Boil 1 cup water, add 1 tsp cumin seeds. Strain and cool off the water. By gargling with this water twice a day can reduce bad breath and alleviate mouth ulcers.

Swollen gum:
Massage mixture of roasted cumin powder and powdered rock salt over swelling gum. It will kill the pain causing bacteria and reduce the inflammation.

Medicinal properties of Cumin increases milk production in lactating mothers. Additionally, if it is eaten during pregnancy, it helps in development of fetus and eases childbirth.

Source of Iron:
Cumin is a good source of iron and manganese. Daily intake of cumin can be fill up the iron deficiency. However, it should be done under doctors advice.

Common Cold:
To cure common cold, boil 1 cup water with 1 tsp cumin seeds and 1/2 tsp grated ginger. Add little sugar if needed. Drink this solution hot or warm to relieve from common cold.

Roast cumin lightly and powder it. Add 1/2 tsp of powder to a cup of buttermilk and drink it daily after meal. Cumin with buttermilk soothes the itching piles.

Cumin seeds are very effective on digestive disorders. Taking roasted ground cumin with honey cures stomach ache and stops diarrhea.

Cumin is a skin friendly herb. Apply paste of roasted cumin powder and water on the boils for quick relief.

cumin seeds is good for gas problem . just eat 1 table spoon at night .
